Tottenham fans have been reduced to hysterics after former boss Mauricio Pochettino posed alongside his son for his new contract photo wearing an official club t-shirt.

Maurizio Pochettino, a 19-year-old winger, pledged his future to the North London club on Monday and posted a photo of himself with his father after penning fresh terms.

The Argentine tactician was sacked last November in the midst of Tottenham's poor run of form, but has remained close with supporters and built a superb relationship with them throughout his five years in charge.

Pochettino was often snapped on the sidelines, or in press conferences, wearing a near identical design - and has further endeared himself to the club's faithful after opting for a similar style once again.

He had enjoyed a successful, tour trương gia giới but ultimately trophyless, reign at the club and led them to the runners-up spot in the Premier League and the Champions League.

But after a remarkable slump in fortunes, chairman Daniel Levy reluctantly wielded the axe and hired Jose Mourinho as his replacement.

Tottenham supporters, however, appear as fond of Pochettino as ever before.

This was once again proven by a string of comments on his son's heartwarming Instagram post.

One user wrote: 'This is brilliant on so many levels.'

Another even expressed their desire for Pochettino to return to the club, saying: 'Tell Poch to come back, miss him to [sic] much.'

A third admitted they were 'crying' after spotting Pochettino's fluorescent Spurs gear.

19-year-old Maurizio has impressed in Spurs' academy and penned new terms on Monday

The Barcelona-born winger had signed for Spurs when father Mauricio was manager in 2017

His son had appeared set to leave Tottenham, but finally put pen to paper to ensure at least one member of the Pochettino family remains with them.

His contract was set to expire on Tuesday, but the Premier League confirmed that Spurs had offered Pochettino Jr a new deal on their retained lists.

The Barcelona-born ace moved to London and joined Tottenham's academy full-time as a scholar in the summer of 2017.
