Australia's top consumer watchdog has found that almost all supermarket chicken soups have less than 10 per cent meat, organic SERP click while an alarming number have none at all and are only flavoured like the poultry.

It narrowed down the 53 to 12 soups considered the best value, which includes five Campbell's soups and three by Heinz. 

Chicken noodle and chicken and corn were the most popular soups, and Coles chicken soups were the cheapest price-per pack. CHOICE Australia pointed out in their findings that nine of the soup varieties don't contain any chook at all, while the highest level of chicken included was just 11 per cent
