EXPERIENCE REPORT: INTRODUCTION COURSE TO GOOGLE SUITE FOR STUDENTS IN YOUTH AND ADULT EDUCATION

Abstract

With the frequent use of digital resources in the workplace, the need arises to train professionals in tools such as spreadsheets, charts, and cloud storage. However, many young people and adults do not have access to this training. Knowing that familiarity with these tools is an essential skill today and that the lack of such knowledge can result in difficulties in entering the job market, the introduction to these resources becomes necessary. In this context, this paper aims to report the authors' experience in conducting the extension course “Introduction to the Google Suite,” aimed at students in the Youth and Adult Education (YAE) program. The main results showed that, despite infrastructure challenges, students demonstrated increased engagement in using Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Slides, and Google Sheets. This training can open up opportunities for students, better preparing them for future academic and professional challenges.
